Our members have access to 2.5 miles of the river at Coalport

and a further 2.5 miles above Shrewsbury on the “Leaton Estate venue only” – run by Rowley and Fenemere Angling Association.

Where do I start, apart from a short break due to illness I have been a member for several years. This is the ticket I will not give up its a great setting fabulous fishing right throughout the stretch for many species. No phone signal for me while I am there but that’s not a bad thing, members and committee are a friendly bunch and long may it continue. Lost count of the fish caught but unproductive sessions can be easily counted with a couple of hands.

Lovely stretch of river with amazing views accross a wooded valley. Well pegged out and easy access to the swims with car parks along it’s stretch. Fishing offers everything from fast shallows to deep pool’s. Only down side would be no phone signal.

Brilliant fishery, very well managed and cared for. Easy parking and clear access to swims with terrific sport for Barbel and Chub in particular, but the roach are well worth considering too.
